Yasaman Nazhand, integrative women's health practitioner for perimenopause and hormone health

About

Yasaman Nazhand

A certified, trauma-informed integrative women's health practitioner, Yasaman helps women in perimenopause rebuild the energy and capacity that years of stress and hormonal change have worn down.

Her approach reads your Nervous System, your hormones, and your nourishment as one picture, biology over willpower and safety before strategy, so healing can happen in the right order: supported, not forced. Her training spans women's integrative and functional medicine, perimenopause and hormone health, and nourishment, alongside Somatic Experiencing, DARe, and Polyvagal-informed Nervous System work, grounded in six years of her own healing in functional and integrative medicine and somatic healing.

hey there, I'm Yasaman

Her story

The path she teaches is the one she walked.

I came to this work the way you might be coming to it now, through my own body, looking for answers. For years I lived with hormonal acne, painful periods, hair loss, constipation, and ten kilos I could not shift, while I poured everything into proving myself, with no net to fall back on. I tried everything, keto, the diet books, birth control, one protocol after another. Some of it helped for a while, and none of it reached the thing underneath.

The problem had never been my discipline.

What changed was learning to treat my body as one connected picture, and to support it in the right order. I went back to school, studied integrative nutrition, and tended the systems no one had ever asked me about, my gut, my hormones, my nourishment, and a lot began to ease. But the deepest shift came when I understood my body had been keeping score, carrying years of stress all the way down to a thyroid that slowed to protect me. It had to feel safe before it could truly use any of the support I was giving it. Biology and safety, together, are what brought me back.

For a long stretch of it I was also disconnected from my own truth, in rooms where saying what I needed never felt safe. That was never weakness, it was the same survival intelligence I now recognize in the women I work with, and my body kept score of it as carefully as it kept score of everything else. A voice held back moves into physiology, which is why getting yours back is part of this work rather than a bonus at the end.

That is the work I do now, biology-led, so your symptoms start to make sense and your capacity can be rebuilt. My way of working is precise, paced, and built around safety, never pressure. My health is not perfect, and there is nothing special about my Nervous System. If mine could start finding its way home, yours can too.

What makes it different

One picture, not separate problems.

Most care treats your hormones, your stress, and your history as three unrelated files. Here they are read together, because that is how your body actually lives them, and it starts with the one system all of it runs through.

The one focus

Your Nervous System

It is not broken, it adapted. Your Nervous System carries your lived experience, years of stress, over-functioning, and everything you have held, all the way into your physiology. Polyvagal-informed, somatic work helps you understand what it has been doing and what it needs next, so your body can finally use the support you give it.

Lever one

Hormones & metabolism

Perimenopause is a multi-system reorganization, not a single hormone event. Estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, thyroid, blood sugar and gut, read as one connected system, beside HRT and never instead of it.

Lever two

Nourishment

Food that steadies energy and supports repair, without restriction, rules, or one more way to fall short.

When your Nervous System steadies, hormones rebalance and energy returns.

The method

Healing in the right order.

Capacity rebuilds in a sequence, not all at once. Every program and session moves through the same four phases, paced to what your body can actually receive.

Phase 01

Recognize

Return to Understanding

See the whole picture clearly, hormones, Nervous System, and history, without blame.

Phase 02

Stabilize

Return to Rest

Settle the foundation first, stress response, blood sugar, and sleep, so the body has ground to stand on.

Phase 03

Rebalance

Return to Steady Energy

With the base steady, restore hormonal and metabolic rhythm in a way that actually holds.

Phase 04

Reclaim

Return to Desire

Integrate the gains into a life that is sustainable, with energy, voice, your spark, and capacity restored.

Who she works with

Two kinds of women find their way here.

Two different starting points, and the same quiet sense that something real is happening, and that it deserves to be understood as a whole.

Women who have tried everything

Exhausted, foggy, and told everything looks normal. They have done the therapy, the supplements, and the protocols, and still do not feel like themselves. Here they finally feel seen, and are given a path that works because it follows the right order.

Women in perimenopause

When energy, sleep, mood, and hormones all seem to shift at once. The work meets the whole transition, not one symptom at a time, with a paced, body-based plan that fits where you actually are. Your energy, your mood, and how close you feel to the people you love all belong in the same conversation.

What she believes

The ideas this work rests on.

Not slogans. These are the working assumptions behind every session, and the reason the order of the work matters as much as the content of it.

01

Nothing heals until the body feels safe.

Safety is biological, not behavioral. Regulation comes before transformation, always.

02

Symptoms are information, not failure.

Fatigue, hormonal shifts, overwhelm and shutdown are the body asking for support, not evidence that something is wrong with you.

03

Rigidity is a survival response, not a character flaw.

Perfectionism, control and over-functioning are strategies learned under pressure. They can be set down.

04

A woman’s voice is a vital sign.

When expression is unsafe or suppressed, the body compensates. Reclaiming your voice is physiological as much as it is emotional.

05

Stability creates freedom.

When stress physiology settles and hormonal rhythms steady, energy returns, signals get clearer, and choice becomes possible again.

Training and background

Grounded in science and lived experience.
